"Hey, thanks" he said
"Don't look at me" said X-Ray (pg 94)
The quotation above is key to the developments at the end of chapter 21. Explain the context of this line (what is happening when this line occurs). Why is this a significant moment for Stanley? Who helped him out?

Stanley just got back from the Wardens house. When he looked in his hole it was almost done. When he left his hole it was no where from being done. He looked around trying to find who did it, no one took credit. When he looked over at Zero, who hadn't said anything, his hole was smaller than everybody elses. Zero had dug his hole for Stanley, Stanley was probably thinking that he gained respect from Zero when he took the blame for the sunflower seeds.

this is an important moment for stanley because stanley is wondering who dug his hole for him
he looked at x-raye because he thought he did somthing for him but he turned aroud and said "don't look at me" i think zero was the one who helped him out because, he looked at zero and he kept on diging without a sound.

when stanly left he filled his hole so the warden would not find out that he took the sunflower seeds and when he got back his hole was almost done he thought x-ray did it but it was zero by sage
Stanly, (the caveman) helps x-ray by not getting him in troubble. he takes the blame. stanly then came back from the wardens house at the begening of the chapter. stanly saw his hole dug for him he didnt know who did it. he guessed x-ray because stanly did something for him and he thought he might have done something back for him. i think zero dug stanlys hole. maby he thought stanly was good so he dug his hole for him. -jenni

Stanly thought X-ray dug his hole but Zero did.

Stanley was coming back from the wardens and he found out his hole was almost done. Suspiciouslly hye looked at x ray and he said dnt look at me then he looked at zeros hole and it was small so he figured it was him who dug his hole. in the later day zero asked stanley f he could could teach him to read and write reluctantley he agreed. adam
